That looks so much fun. I ran a fantasy race in AD&D a long time ago, but there were no rules for anything. So I made it all up as I went along and it required a light touch to keep it moving and exciting at the same time.
Took me a second to realize that the scene ONLY switches on a 10+, but after I realized that then it all kind of clicked and I kinda dig it! Love the character playbooks, though I find the damage a bit unexplained. When you mark damage, do you also have to mark one of the statements?
Overall, a good entry for the jam, and an intriguing racing minigame, too!

Good point about the damage. The statements are really just intended as useful prompts. You can use them if you want, or ignore them if you have a better idea. I'll give some thought to how I can make that clearer! (I included them because interesting hits are something I find difficult to invent on the spot.)
